Data Deletion

Updated: 2026-06-20

Two places your data can live

FinSafe keeps deletion simple because of how little we hold. Website data — your language preference and builder drafts — lives only in your own browser. App data — documents and payment records — lives under your account in the FinSafe mobile app. Each is deleted differently, and both are fully within your control.

Deleting website data

Because website data is stored in your browser's localStorage, deleting it is done in your browser, not by us:

  • Open your browser's settings and find the privacy or site-data section
  • Locate stored data for finsafe.space
  • Clear the site's data — this removes your language preference and all saved drafts
  • Alternatively, delete individual drafts from within the builder itself

Deleting app account data

If you use the FinSafe mobile app, you can delete your account and its data from within the app's settings. If you prefer, or if you no longer have access to the app, email hello@finsafe.space from the address linked to your account and ask for deletion — we will confirm and carry it out.

Deleting your account removes the documents and payment records stored under it, so download anything you want to keep first.

What we cannot delete

Files you processed with the web tools were never sent to us, so there is nothing on our side to erase — the only copies are the ones on your own device. Likewise, if you shared a signed agreement with another person, their copy is theirs; deleting your data with FinSafe does not reach documents held by other people.
