Document Retention

Web tools: we retain nothing
The FinSafe web tools have the simplest retention policy possible: there is nothing to retain. Files you process are handled entirely in your browser and never reach our servers, so there are no server copies, no backups of your files on our side, and no retention period to worry about. When you close the tab, only the copies you saved yourself remain.
Builder drafts: yours, on your device
Drafts you create in the agreement builder are stored in your browser's localStorage on your device. They stay there until you delete them — either from within the builder or by clearing your browser's site data for finsafe.space. We cannot see these drafts and we cannot delete them for you, because they were never sent to us.
Keep in mind that localStorage belongs to one browser on one device. Drafts will not follow you to another browser or computer, and clearing browser data removes them permanently.
App documents: your account settings apply
Documents and payment records stored in the FinSafe mobile app are kept under your app account and follow the app's account settings. Deleting a document in the app removes it from your account, and deleting your account removes your account data. You can manage both from within the app, or email hello@finsafe.space for help.
A practical note on signed agreements
Whatever tools you use, a signed agreement is worth keeping for the full life of the loan and a sensible period afterwards. Save the final signed PDF in more than one place — for example, your device and a personal cloud drive — and keep the payment records with it. FinSafe web tools deliberately keep nothing for you, so storing the final document safely is in your hands.
