Pick the date, choose a format, place it next to the signature or in the header, and download. It works entirely in your browser.
How it works
- Add the PDF that needs a date.
- Choose the date and a format, such as day-month-year or month spelled out.
- Drag the date stamp to the right spot — next to a signature, in a blank field, or in the header.
- Download the dated PDF; the original file stays unchanged.
Your privacy
The tool runs entirely in your browser — your document never leaves your device.
Nothing is uploaded to a server, and nothing remains after you close the tab.
Your documents are never used to train AI models.
Common use cases
- Add the signing date next to a signature that was placed without one.
- Date each party's signature block on a loan agreement.
- Stamp the effective date on a payment extension before sharing it.
- Add a received date to documents you archive for your records.
Limitations
- The date is placed as visible text on the page — it does not change any PDF metadata or prove when the document was really signed.
- Password-protected files must be unlocked first.
- If the page is a skewed scan, you may need to fine-tune the position by hand.
Frequently asked questions
Does the stamped date prove when the contract was signed?
No. It is a visible label, not evidence. Proof of timing usually comes from surrounding records — the email or chat where the signed file was exchanged, or the bank transfer that followed. Stamp the true date and keep those records.
Can I choose the date format?
Yes. Common formats such as 15/03/2026, 2026-03-15, or 15 March 2026 are available, so you can match the style used in the rest of the document.
Can I add more than one date?
Yes. Place as many date stamps as the document needs — for example, one beside each party's signature.
Should the date match the day the money was transferred?
Not necessarily. The signing date records when the agreement was made; the transfer slip records when money moved. Both are useful, and it is fine for them to differ — just make sure the agreement states its own dates clearly.
Is it wrong to backdate an agreement?
Writing a date earlier than the real signing date can misrepresent the facts and cause serious problems in a dispute. If you are documenting an older arrangement, use today's date and state in the text when the original agreement was made.
